I am now a card carrying member of the AARP...
I kid you not. I checked the mail a couple days ago and lo and behold there was an envelope from the American Association for Retired Persons. I thought, ok, this is weird. So I opened the envelope and there was my light blue membership card.
My thinking is that they found out that I have multiple ailments that usually only afflict people over the age of 60, and they saw how many prescriptions I'm on, and said "Sign that girl up! She's gotta be at least 75!"
So the first thing I did was call my younger boyfriend (I'm 26 and he's 21) and inform him that he is now dating a member of the AARP. He he stopped laughing... 5 minutes later.
Oh well. At least this means I get some discounts and stuff now, right? ;-)

O.K. Young Lady - this is your AD - Mom . Don't knock the AARP card - it comes in handy from everything from movies to restaaurants - to traveling - hotels everything even car rentals!. LOl but firsts you must pay membership dues. I can't believe you have a card LOL that's so funny - I'm with Adam on this one I can't stop chuckling!
LOLOL does that also mean that you are entitled to a free bus pass now? :p
And how does Mom know this? Mom have AARP? Geesh hope not cuz she is only 20 yrs older than me and I'm not old! hehehe

You can also attend senior citizen day at Kroger. It's every Tuesday lol ;)
Wow! I didn't know that about Kroger and yes Tina I have an AARP card because your DAD is older than me and he got it first and any spouse of a AARP gets a card too. so calm down Tina or blame "DAD". LOL

Sorry I've been out of touch for a few days y'all! I'm at Adam's in Chesapeake and 'puter time has been a lil limited. That doesn't mean I love you guys any less. :-) I regret to admit I've fallen behind with reading y'alls blogs but I'll definitely get caught up in the next few days. I appreciate all the posts while I've been gone! :-)
