What every woman should have and know...
-----------------------------------------
Every Woman Should Have...
...one old love she can imagine going back to... and one who reminds her how far she has come...
...enough money within her control to move out and rent a place of her own even if she never wants to or needs to...
...something perfect to wear if the employer or date of her dreams wants to see her in an hour...
...a youth she's content to leave behind... and a past juicy enough that she's looking forward to
retelling it in her old age...
...a set of screwdrivers, a cordless drill, and a black lace bra...
...one friend who always makes her laugh... and one who lets her cry...
...a good piece of furniture not previously owned by anyone else in her family...
...eight matching plates, wine glasses with stems, and a recipe for a meal that will make her guests feel honored...
...a feeling of control over her destiny...
-----------------------------------------
Every Woman Should Know...
...how to fall in love without losing herself...
...how to quit a job, break up with a lover, and confront a friend without ruining the friendship...
...when to try harder... and when to walk away...
...that she can't change the length of her calves, the width of her hips, or the nature of her parents...
...that her childhood may not have been perfect... but it’s over...
...what she would and wouldn't do for love or more...
...how to live alone... even if she doesn't like it...
...whom she can trust, whom she can't, and why she shouldn't take it personally...
...where to go... be it to her best friend's kitchen table, or a charming inn in the woods when her soul needs soothing...
...what she can and can't accomplish in a day... a month... and a year...
-----------------------------------------
Hope y'all enjoyed 'em. Sorry it doesn't really cater to the male visitors to the blog... you can always check out my weather pixie who seems to have mastered that "come hither" look from her experience working street corners. ;-) Enjoy!

Niiiiiice, I miss looking at your blog for a couple of days and then when I catch up I have lots of really great posts to read and lovely pics to look at :)
Brilliant way to start a Sunday morning. Thanks Nicky. Now stop reading this and get back to bed ;)
Hey ! in regards to the fifth entry in the "Should Have" catagory - I have the drill - the black lace bra but - screwdrivers - is that the type with Orange juice and vodka???? Ahemmmmm...just wondering.....Ahem..AD daughter where are you?......LOL
Love the lists!
Mom wrote bout your sleeping, this is what I said, but thought I would tell ya here too ;) I'll keep thinking of things ...
J's sleep schedule gets turned around all the time - he has to gradually push himself to stay awake an hour or two longer each day, after about a week, he was able to sleep at about 10 pm and wake up at 4 or 5 am instead of sleeping during day. Drink coffee or caffeine to help you stay up during day as you gradually work yourself over.
If you are able to do any extra exercise or things to make u tired later in day, that would help too. Good luck and be well :)
But I look terrible in a black lace bra!
A Red Strapless suits me much better!
gareth ~ glad I got your sunday off to a good start!
Ad-Mom ~ that type of screwdriver works too! ;-) sorry I didn't end up getting online today, it's been a rough one.
obxn ~ glad ya love 'em! (cuz that's the majority of what i've got to post.) ;-)
